The defensive midfielder has impressed for the first-team this season, and his assist against PSG in August made him the youngest player to set up a goal in Ligue 1 history.

‘If it only depended on me, I would like to keep him for another 10 years,’ said Letang.

‘Aside from that, there are approaches, a market and the desires of the player.

‘We will meet to discuss it a little later on – probably at the end of the season.’

Camavinga made his first-team debut in April at the age of 16 after signing his first professional contract in December 2018.

He has made 16 appearances so far this season, scoring one goal, and the Angolan-born midfielder played for France Under-21s against Georgia on Friday after obtaining French citizenship two weeks ago.
