The mysterious cigar-shaped UFO appears to have been spotted yet again over the US state of California.
In footage taken above Salinas, Monterey County, the cylindrical object slowly moves across the blue sky.
It doesn’t appear to change course throughout the footage and also seems to have no wings.
The sighting on May 7 is just the latest in a number of similar videos to have emerged from the state showing apparent UFOs in recent months.
YouTube conspiracy theorist The Hidden Underbelly shared the latest sighting to his channel on May 9.
“In this footage, we have a silver, cylindrical object,” he explained.
“There are no visible wings or windows and the linear shape of it makes me believe that this is not a blimp.
“This object was filmed at 4.17pm and we can just see it cruising over the horizon.
“The visibility is very good, there are no clouds to speak of – there is nothing in the way of this object.”
Bizarrely, the uploader then questions whether the craft “realises” that no one will be outside to see it due to the coronavirus lockdown.
More than 1,000 people have seen the footage since it was posted on May 9.
“No it definitely isn’t a blimp,” one viewer claimed. “It looks like the tictac.”
Another agreed, suggesting it was a craft similar to that seen by the crew of the USS Nimitz in 2004.
“Two things, blimps don’t fly that high and they don’t go that fast and if they was going that fast they would be grounded because that is an unsafe speed,” they said.
“Seems rather obvious to me this is the same type of craft the Navy ran into just off the coast not 100 miles from here.”
There are, like most UFO sightings, often more reasonable explanations for what such objects could be.
Similar videos in the past have been dismissed as nothing but weather balloons or drones.
